*** Since I believe everybody doesn’t know MALHKEBRE yet please tell us when the band was formed and who is in the line-up right now. What is the meaning of the band‘s name ?
MALHKEBRE is the messenger, and has started to spread His words in 2002. The Apostles who work for this messenger are still being the same since the beginning :

*** Cool detail in your releases list, your first promo tracks were put out on tape ! It seems every band prefers to release promos / demos on CDR today... What about the tape cult that still should be supported in my opinion as an underground old tradition ? When and where were the tracks recorded ? On the ideological side what lies behind your lyrics (which weren’t included in the tape booklet !) ? How many copies did you spread ?
We don’t pay attention to what the others bands prefer to do nowadays. I’m not really into traditions, therefore the tape’s cult... Although I hate CD-R format, but today it became really hard to buy a cassette player, and I hate all the shitty bands/labels that produce a pro CD or EP instead of a demo one (be on tape or CD-R).
“In His name” has been created in 2004 in an obscure cellar of our area, with really few materials, so the sound is as raw as we wanted for this tape. About the ideological side, all my lyrics are printed on our “Prostration” Gatefold MLP release. We spread I think around 200 copies of “In His name” but only via a confidential way.
*** Second release is the famous 10’’EP. What are the differences between it and the tape as two tracks are on both releases ? How many copies did you press and how was the response of the crowd ? Is it still available ?
“Prostration” MLP is the logical following of “In His name” with a more Religious aura toward the High Entity. As I’ve said before, “In His name” was a very confidential release. MALHKEBRE don’t want to limit His message, so it was obvious that we would also put these two tracks on “Prostration” as it is also obvious that “Prostration” will be produced in the coming month on CD format. “Prostration” MLP is limited to 500 copies, the response from the devotees has been really impressive and MALHKEBRE is now stronger than ever to spread the beautiful messages of the Lord. The Holy Lord is proud of it. You can still order “Prostration” MLP via Battlesk’rs (www.battleskrs.com).
*** Hail to the bands that use their native language ! Why did you decide to write French lyrics ? Did you have good / bad responses concerning them ?
The aim of MALHKEBRE is to spread His words, I think that English is interesting to speak to lots of people, but I think that the impact on the listener will be stronger if His message is in his native language. I think that lots of people use English ‘cuz it’s really easy, but is-it really interesting ? At this time when you read our reviews, the responses seem more than correct about the fact to use French lyrics.
*** Is the 10’’ a vinyl-only release or will it be published on CD too ? If yes why and will you include bonus or so ?
“Prostration” will also be published on CD. “Prostration” is a proselytic tool of our Lord, so no limitations. It would be ridiculous to keep it for a pseudo elitist crowd. We don’t know all the people that have bought “Prostration”, and I’m pretty sure there are still lots of interesting souls which deserve to listen to it.
*** I saw you on stage in the Toulouse area and was honestly blown away by your performance ! The sinister and religious atmosphere was oppressing to death. I thought during this gig that the doomier passages were the most impressive ones... Will you go on with these slow funeral parts ?
Only our Lord knows where we go in the future on the musical side. But it will be definitively sinister and religious. If you’re looking for slow funeral part, check our split with AOSOTH to come.
*** Speaking about gigs you were recently supposed to share the bill with CELESTIA but it didn’t happen... Why ? Do you have some dates scheduled ?
Yes, we were supposed. It seems that some stupid human beings were against CELESTIA and said that it was a NSBM gig. I think that it’s the more stupid thing I have heard. We’ve been clear about this subject. MALHKEBRE and all our activities on the dark side have nothing in common with Socialism, being Nationalist or not. I’m even clearly against NSBM, ‘cuz I think that it’s too politically correct for me. MALHKEBRE doesn’t exist to protect French people and ugly white children. We krush Europaganists and Redskins, both work for a better world. We work for the dark minds with great spirituality which want to understand what the meaning of the whole is, why the Lord has created it, MALHKEBRE is here to spread His message and give some keys to help these dark minds to answer their harrowing questions.
*** You’ve played several gigs in France but never in the foreign countries as far as I know. Don’t you have propositions from there ? Or maybe is it the lack of free time... ? Are you ready to set up a little tour in support of your record ?
You’re wrong we’ve done a Ceremony in Spain near Barcelona last October. There will be MALHKEBRE’s ceremonies no more until October 2009 at least. But it’s not a lack of free time ; we need a period of thoughts. About a tour, we’re currently working on it for 2009 with the masters of doom WORSHIP, but nothing is sure. We’ve ever got lots of tour’s offers in the past years and all these offers have been cancelled.
*** Have you some new songs ready for a full-length ? Will it be out on Battlesk’rs again ?
Some Liturgical works are ready, in the coming month, a split EP with AOSOTH will be out on A.A.P. a great Finnish label.
MALHKEBRE’s full-length will not be out before 2009. We’ve got lots of offers from many great labels and the schedule of Battlesk’rs productions is full for maybe 2 years, so I don’t think that it will be out on Battlesk’rs again.
*** Hmmm let’s speak about your own label Battlesk’rs Recs. What were your goals when creating this structure ? How do you choose the bands you want to produce ? What about Necrocosm / Kubernoise ? Next productions please ?
When I’ve created Battlesk’rs, my aim was to produce some bands with a strong ideology & a good artistic side. I want to work with true people, not a band of a year, I’m pretty sure that lots of Battlesk’rs artists will work on the dark side until their death.
I’ve always worked with bands that I know personally. If your music is good, it’s not enough for us.Our next sk’rs will be DARVULIA “L’Alliance des Venins” LP in coprod with NWN !. We’re also working on the next BAEL, DARK OPUS & DARVULIA opus & INPESTAE, DARVULIA TS...
Kubernoise is dead forever, the guy with I was working on is now a normal piece of this shitty society.

*** You organize gigs in the Toulouse area since 2000. What is the general response of the local crowd ? Do people show their dedication / support towards these concerts ? What’s your opinion about the metal scene here in France as you’re very active in it ?
The general response is totally shitty ; in our area there are really few maniacs interested in underground and true arts. I think that France has one of the best metal scenes with great bands particularly in the Black Metal genre but we need more activists with skills.
*** I know you did write a sort of manifest about today’s BM main pollution : politics and so on. Please share with us your thoughts about all this ! I know we share some opinions on this subject hehe !
Yes, this manifest will be published in the next Eunolie’s edition. After it, I’ll speak less about the ones who mix politic and dark arts.
*** To go further what is your conception of black-metal and Satanism and general ? What do you think about this sudden "Religious Black Metal" movement within our scene ?
