***Hello Boris ! Present us the last album, how it was released and so on...
Aloha. We released the album through Forensick Music from Slovakia, who used to contract bands like ABBA, BOY GEORGE and TEARS FOR FEARS, but since he noticed that many girls like the grindcore vibe, he decided to release some heavy dudy shit. (hi Martin : ) ). But he does great work for us, so we are definitely not complaining. The CD also was received really well and after the release we got lot’s of new offers, so we’re satisfied with it.
***When I read the bio, I found funny ( ?) the number of guitarists til now ! Are you so fuckin’ bastards that nobody can work too much with you or were your prior guitarists so lazy that they couldn’t stand to work ? Is your line-up finally stable now ?
Yeah man, you gotta kick some ass once in a while and some of them couldn’t handle it and even started crying. Let’s hope our latest boy wonder keeps delivering the good work, so I won’t have to bitch-slap him. He knows he will get his ass kicked by the others if he leaves, so he will think twice before leaving...
***I don’t know the title of the first demo (that I still search for !) but apart from that you’ve got “ Project 13 ”, the split with RAKITIS, another with AGATHOCLES and the 10’’ with MINDFLAIR. Which is your prefered release so far ? Why ?
The title was “Syphilis”. I prefer the full length because that’s the latest shit we released. But I prefer the new songs (soon to be released) even more. It likely that you like the songs that you made last the best. At least that’s what it’s like in my case. But I don’t dislike the old shit. That was us during that period of time. Luckily we developed as a band.
***There’re several vynils in your releases list. What do you think about this format ? Do you think like me that’s the best format for metal ? Will you put out some other vynil releases ?
Yeah totally. I like vinyl a lot ! I buy cd’s for in my car, but at home I listen more to the vinyl stuff I have. We have a couple of vinyl releases coming up : split 7’’ep with MAGGOTS (Hol) split 7’’ep with SCURVY (swe) and the split 12’’ with REGURGITATE (N.D.G. : what a meeting, argh !). Apart from this the other releases this year will probably be on CD.
***I think that you often play live ! Isn’t it ? What are the bands you did play with ? Will you soon play some gigs ? Maybe in France ? You were at the “ Rat mort ” fest in France (1999) ! What did you think about this event ? UNHOLY GRAVE, AGATHOCLES, etc... argh !!
It was one of the best events we ever played at. I even had the chance to shit in a bowl of macaroni and made my dream come through. The bands where also great. Especially UNHOLY GRAVE. At the moment it’s going quit well and we almost have a gig or 2 every weekend. We play in France next week actually. We will headline the Grind Your Soul fest. in Strasbourg. Bands we played with ? Pfff, I will mention a few... MORTICIAN, UNHOLY GRAVE, YACOEPSAE, PHOBIA, REGURGITATE, ENTRAILS MASSACRE, GOREROTTED, MY MINDS MINE (rip), NYCTOPHOBIC, SANATORIUM, INHUME, CANNIBAL CORPSE, VADER, AGATHOCLES, ....
***I would like to know who is responsible for the artwork of “ Punching ” ... When you quickly look at it, you can’t see all the crazy details you’ve put everywhere !! Well done !
I’ll tell him. The idea came from me and Max. Tammi from the Dutch grindband COLLISION did a good job in working it out. He will also be responsible for the artwork of our upcoming releases.
***What do you think about releasing an album 10 years after the beginning ? What do you think about the bands who put out an album after only one single demo, sometimes nothing ?!!
It was hard for us cause all the guitarists left after a recording. We just waited until we had a steady line-up with someone we could write some good grindshit with. It just happened to be 10 years after we formed the band. But I don’t care. For us it’s better to wait until you come up with something that is good, then to release something you are unsatisfied with later. By the way we are planning a split CD with our friends from RIMMSHOT (hol HC) They also started about the same time as we did and the idea is to re-record some songs from all our previous releases. Nothing is definite yet, but we are trying to work something out as we speak.
***Please present us some bands, zines, people worthy to be named in Holland.
